WOODEN-IT-BE-NICE HOSTS MBA THIRD THURSDAY
Thursday, March 31st, 2011On Thursday, March 17, Wooden-it-be-Nice Furniture Consignment in Marlborough hosted the MBA’s Third Thursday. The evening began at 5:30 p.m. and refreshments were provided by Donna Finocchiaro, Owner of Wooden-it-be-Nice. Marlborough is the original location of Wooden-it-be-Nice, and after moving the store to South Glastonbury, Donna saw the need to expand back to Marlborough, and opened this second location. Donna is happy to be back at the Shoppes at Marlborough Barn. “We are so excited to see this complex continuing to offer the community great choices for shopping. We are excited to be back here.” MBA President Greg Murphy thanked Donna for hosting, and reminded everyone about the MBA Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the store on Thursday, March 31st at noon to kick off the store’s Grand Opening Celebration.
Mr. Murphy allowed time for networking, and updated attendees on the upcoming and current activities of the MBA. Marlborough Arts Center representative Diane Sandler offered attendees sponsorship opportunities for upcoming programs, Bob Johnson is offering special deals on Shaklee products, and Laura Hart of Heartwood Cabinetry donated back her winnings from the 50/50 raffle to the Marlborough Food Bank.
This year’s Marlborough Day will be held on Sunday, August 21st, and Mr. Murphy thanked all in attendance, noting that the MBA’s Third Thursday’s are great evenings.
