Marge Piccini, was the featured guest speaker who spoke about passion, excellence, doing what you love and most importantly, making money doing it!  A habitual high achiever, the co-author of Incredible Business: Expert Advice to Accelerate Your Success and a former award winning sales professional for a Fortune 100 company, Marge leads group coaching programs designed to help passionate entrepreneurs bridge the gap between their current earnings level and their potential.  Attendees were excited to hear her speak and motivated by her words.

Several dates to remember for the MBA include the 2^nd Annual Jazz and Music Fest at Sadlers Ordinary on Thursday, June 21^st and the 6^th Annual Marlborough Day on Sunday, August 19 from 11 to 5 at Blish Park.

The MBA’s next Third Thursday will be held on Thursday, May 17 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Middlesex Hospital Rehabilitation and Hand Therapy.

On Thursday, May 17, 2012 the Marlborough Business Association will hold its monthly Third Thursday at Middlesex Hospital Rehabilitation Services and Hand Therapy located at 6 Independence Drive Suite 1 in Marlborough.  This month’s meeting is an evening meeting being held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This evening, the MBA Board and Scholarship Committee will present their annual scholarship to a student pursuing a higher education degree, who has focused on community service, aided the Business Association throughout the year and showed academic achievement.  Please join us for a networking session, light refreshments, and an update on the MBA’s activities and upcoming events.

Middlesex Hospital Rehabilitation is a multi-faceted, hospital-based program, which includes Inpatient, Outpatient and Homecare Services. Located in Middletown, Essex and Marlborough, Connecticut, patient care and rehabilitation services are delivered by a team of experienced, licensed professionals — including physical and occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists.

For the last five years, we have been sponsoring a charitable golf tournment for Sunshine Kids – kids with cancer.

Last year, Prudential Connecticut Realty was the third largest contributor for ALL of the Prudential companies in North America.

Our Glastonbury office was the HIGHEST contributing real estate office to that effort in the state of Connecticut…something we are all extremely proud of.

This annual event has been held at the Blackledge Golf Course in Hebron, and is scheduled again this year for Wednesday, June 6th.

It has been such a great day…a lot of fun for all…and for a great cause !

I wanted you to be aware in the event you can play golf with us that day (a scramble so you need not be a great player…) – please see the attached registration form.

For $160, included is 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, breakfast, lunch and dinner !!

The date is set and we are on our way to a moving and fun filled evening. This, as the logo states, is our third annual comedy night to benefit the Connecticut Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of our son Dillon. The event is being held once again at the Hartford Hilton in their Grand Ballroom. The night will begin with a silent auction and social hour and cash bar at 7pm, followed by the comedians, and ending with dancing until midnight.

Tickets are $25 each and are available for sale in a couple ways. You may mail a check made out to Colin Wilson to 109 Pettengill RD Marlborough, CT 06447 or you can click on the support link and purchase tickets through pay pal using any major credit or atm card. Ideally all tickets purchased these two ways will be held at the door for you. If you really want the tickets up front, just provide an address and we will mail them to you. More details to follow.

This is open to all who would like to attend. We are hoping to attract not only living organ donors, but organ recipients, donor families, medical professionals and anyone who would like to know anything about organ donation.

Please bring whatever you care to drink (and/or eat). It will take us a few months to work out providing healthy snacks and drinks.
